About True Grit Psychiatry
Real people. Real stories.Real healing.
Too often, healthcare has become a race against the clock, where productivity is prioritized over people. I started in medicine for one reason only, to help others; to listen, understand, and walk alongside my patients—not to rush them through a schedule.
True Grit Psychiatry was built on a simple belief: every person deserves to be heard, respected, and treated as an individual. We provide the kind of care we would want for our own families—thoughtful, personalized, and never dictated by quotas. Because healing takes trust, time, and a provider who refuses to give up on you.
Bailey trained at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and has spent the past five years in outpatient psychiatry with adolescents, adults, and older adults, including a year working with higher-acuity patients in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.

Brief follow-ups are for stable patients and refills that do not need a medication change. True Grit Psychiatry does not bill insurance directly, but a superbill is available on request so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement from your plan.

Why a Team-Based Approach Matters
Medication is one tool. The evidence keeps showing that combinations work better than any single treatment alone.
This practice does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HELLO to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), or call 911.
You don't have to face it alone.
We're here when you're ready.
Bailey Willows, MPAS, PA-C is accepting new patients beginning August 15, 2026.
